Waschenbeuren (approx. 4000 inhabitants) located at the foot of the Hohenstaufen between Rems and Filstal on the B 297 between Lorch and Göppingen, is an extremely attractive place with all the infrastructure for daily needs.
Taking ecological concerns into account, the town center was redesigned, the school was expanded, playgrounds were created and sufficient infrastructure was created.
A wide range of clubs, a variety of hiking opportunities and a well-developed network of cycle paths offer a variety of leisure options.
Worth seeing are the Staufer laundry castle, the fountain in front of the town hall and the office building on the market square. Waschenbeuren was first mentioned in a document in 1271. In 1491 the community was given the local coat of arms and market rights.
