Today Ebersbach is the modern center of the lower Filstal. The railway line and federal highway 10 integrate the city into the greater Stuttgart area as well as into supra-regional transport connections.
The convenient location in terms of transport has shaped the history of the place since its beginnings in the 12th century.
From the middle of the 19th century, important industrial companies developed in Ebersbach, especially in the textile sector. The associated economic and cultural upswing led to the town being raised in 1975.
Ebersbach has a modern infrastructure. All schools are on site. Educational institutions such as city libraries, museums and adult education centers are very popular. Leisure facilities such as the widely popular Waldhöhen outdoor pool complete the picture.
