The spa and holiday resort of Bad Boll is located in the middle of the most beautiful hiking landscape, at the foot of the Swabian Alb.
The varied hiking area leads along the Albtrauf with unique viewpoints or to the Alb plateau with heathland, past flocks of sheep, through beautiful fauna and flora, or along a 122 hectare nature reserve. During a spa stay, the three local remedies ensure lasting healing success: the century-old sulfur spring, the Boller Jura fango and the 34 degree warm thermal mineral water. They are used in particular to improve and alleviate diseases of the musculoskeletal system, in rehabilitation or for skin diseases (e.g. psoriasis, acne). The accommodation for guests is unique in the 19th century Kurhaus, a horseshoe-shaped complex in the post-classical style with a spa park, foyer and belvedere. In addition, the guest will find a place of recovery, peace, relaxation and recreation in the private sanatorium for natural healing treatments.
Many intellectual movements are at home in Bad Boll. The Eckwälden district is the headquarters of the homeopathic medicine company WALA and many anthroposophical institutions.
The Evangelical Academy in particular (see picture above left) has made Bad Boll famous far beyond its borders. The conference center of the Württemberg regional church offers a place for discussion, exchange and life support. Other hotels such as the Semirais Hotel Bad Boll or the Badhotel Stauferland have specialized in the conference business.
Health and culture are inextricably linked in Bad Boll: open-air plays, classical concerts, cabaret weeks, slide shows, poetry readings and much more are part of the regular events on offer.
