Gruibingen is a local recreation destination in the Göppingen, Esslingen and Stuttgart area, embedded in a side valley of the Fils and, with its very beautiful 2.306 hectare area, offers attractive hiking destinations.
The area, which is intersected by the Stuttgart – Munich federal motorway, is under landscape protection with its varied and idyllic landscape. With its juniper heaths and hedgerows as well as many rare plants, it offers visitors many opportunities to explore and enjoy nature.
The community is located in the center of the village at 561 m above sea level, and at its highest point - at Bürg - it is one of the highest elevations in the Göppingen district at 805 m.
