Happy Birthday dear @kunstmuseumstuttgart!
The Cube has stood in the heart of the state capital for 20 years and can look back on a remarkable variety of exhibitions. Incidentally, not only will the art museum celebrate its 2025th anniversary in 20, but the city's collection will also celebrate its 100th anniversary. It wasn't until the move to the Cube that the museum became a "museum" 😉
Tip: As part of the anniversary exhibition "Double Cheese Platter," the Kunstmuseum is showing only works from its own collection. Admission is free until mid-October.

"Do you want to be my Spätzle, because you are my heart's desire"
- a question that not only people ask each other, but also lovingly whisper into their plates. Whether traditionally served with sauce, lentils, Gaisburger Marsch (a kind of cheese), or mixed with cheese, spaetzle is as much a part of the Stuttgart region as Äffle (a kind of cheese) is of the horse. While scraping was long considered sacred, thanks to inventor Robert Kull, the spaetzle press can now be found in almost every Swabian household. Are you Team Scraping, Team Pressing, or, if you're crazy about it, Team Shaking?

A poet, a thinker, a legend! Friedrich #schiller, born in #marbach am Neckar, shaped German literature with his works like no other. His legacy lives on - not only in the #Schillerstadt with the @dla_marbach but also in the hearts of all literature fans. Do you have a favorite work?
#yourregionstuttgart #regionstuttgart #landkreisludwigsburg #schillerstadt
*Classification of the quote:
The quote comes from Friedrich Schiller's drama "William Tell" (1804), his last completed work. The play deals with the Swiss struggle for freedom and was initially well received by Adolf Hitler and the National Socialists. But when Schiller's motif of tyrannicide was linked to several assassination attempts on Hitler - including that of the Swiss Maurice Bavaud - the attitude of the National Socialists changed. On June 3, 1941, Hitler banned all performances of William Tell, and the drama was no longer allowed to be taught in schools. Schiller's work thus became a symbol of resistance against Nazi rule.

A paradise not only for bookworms🐀 The @stadtbibliothekstuttgart on Mailänder Platz is one of the most modern in Europe. You will not only find over half a million media there, but also musical instruments, a sound studio, original graphics to borrow and the @cafe_lesbar for refreshments. Designed by the Korean architect Eun Young Yi, it has been one of the highlights in Stuttgart since it opened.
Well, how many #stadtbibliothekstuttgart pictures can we find on your smartphones? 😌
Many thanks @stuttgarttourismus and @stadtbibliothekstuttgart 🙏

The #Fasnet in Weil der Stadt is one of the most traditional in the Stuttgart region. For centuries, witches, fools and night watchmen have paraded through the streets and transformed the city into a colorful hustle and bustle. An absolute highlight is the big Fasnet parade on the Sunday before Rose Monday, when over 60 groups parade through the old town in front of up to 30.000 visitors.
Carnival, Fasnet, Mardi Gras - where do you celebrate the 5th season?

Clara Zetkin left a deep mark on the #women's movement - especially in Stuttgart, where she was active as a publicist and activist. Her tireless commitment to equal rights and social justice is still a role model for many today. On March 8th - International Women's Day - women around the world take to the streets for equal rights. There are also many actions on this day in the Stuttgart region.
