In the Märklin museum “Märklineum” in Göppingen, products from the toy manufacturer’s 160-year company history are on display. Almost all of the railways and trains ever produced by Märklin can be seen here. A model railway layout on the second floor of the Märklineum takes visitors on a journey through the history of model railways. Up to 30 trains from different eras of the Märklin company run on the system at the same time. If you observe carefully, you can discover many details in this model, such as a hiker next to the tracks or a worker in the brewery. The highlight of the “Märklineum” is a model railway system that is built on an area the size of three shipping containers. It extends over two levels and is constantly being expanded.
